Warriors' Injury Report vs. Cavs Reveals Status of Curry, Porzingis, Payton, Horford

In this story:
Stephen Curry (runner's knee) will miss his 27th straight game on Thursday against the Cavaliers, but the Warriors will be getting at least two players back who missed Wednesday's game.
Kristaps Porzingis, who missed the Spurs game due to illness management, and Gary Payton II, who sat out the Spurs game with a knee ailment, are not on the injury report.
Gui Santos (pelvic contusion) and De'Anthony Melton (thumb) are also active after previously being listed as questionable. Both missed the Spurs game.
Seth Curry (adductor), Al Horford (calf) and Quinten Post (foot) are out.
For the Cavs, Jaylon Tyson (toe) and Dean Wade (ankle) are out. All of their other rotation players are active.
Porzingis Looking to Continue Hot Stretch
Over his last four games, Porzingis is averaging 22.5 points on 50 percent three-point shooting in 28.5 minutes.
That's impressive, but what's even more important is his availability.
Since returning from a six-game absence on March 7, Porzingis has not missed two straight games. He's played in 10 of 14 overall.
If he re-signs with the Warriors and has that type of availability next season, the trade for him will be a win.
Seth Explains One of Steph's Motivations to Return
Steph wants to be back in the lineup on Sunday against the Rockets, though there's no guarantee he'll be back then or at all this season. It all comes down to how his body responds to scrimmaging this weekend.
Seth explained that one of the reasons Steph wants to come back is to share the court with him.
“Wanna get out there with him (Steph) at least one time and experience that and put on a show for the fans," Seth said. "... I know that’s one of his motivating factors for getting out there to see us out there on the court together, but no pressure.”
The brothers have played 1,621 regular-season games, but they've never played in one for the same team. After Thursday, they'll have five more chances this season to make it happen.
West Standings Update
The Warriors' goal of moving up the Western Conference standings is on life support.
8. Clippers 39-37
9. Blazers 39-38
10. Warriors 36-40
Assuming the Trail Blazers take care of business against the Kings and Clippers take care of business against the Kings and Mavericks, the Warriors will be guaranteed to need at least 41 wins to pass one of the two teams.
A 5-1 finish is probably not in the cards for Golden State, with the Cavs, Rockets, Lakers and Clippers remaining on the schedule.
