Warriors Owner Makes Bold Statement About Team's Future

In this story:
There is no question that the NBA's new CBA will make life more difficult for teams like the Golden State Warriors. Willing to go deep into the luxury tax, Warriors owner Joe Lacob is only rivaled by LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer when it comes to his near-limitless spending ability to field a championship roster. While the new CBA complicates that approach, Lacob remains committed to winning.
Speaking with local reporters on Tuesday, Lacob was asked about the new CBA rules, and made a bold statement about the future of Golden State amidst the uncertainty surrounding their spending limitations.
"We're going to win no matter what," Lacob said. "I don't care what the rules are. We are going to figure out a way to do it. That's what good organizations do, they figure out a way to win the game, and our game is to win games and win championships."

Lacob was also clear that he is not yet ready to discuss roster specifics, because there is still a good amount of time between now and free agency. While Golden State may be specifically impacted by the new CBA rules, their owner remains committed to winning, and boldly claimed that his Warriors will find a way to win despite any new restrictions.
This will be an important summer for the Warriors, as several questions loom over their dynasty core.
