Warriors Starter Ruled Out with Stephen Curry for Rockets Game

In this story:
Moses Moody suffered shoulder and wrist injuries in the Golden State Warriors' loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
The wrist injury will keep Moody out for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets.
Moody is one of six Warriors players ruled out. Stephen Curry will miss his 12th consecutive game with runner's knee, and of course Jimmy Butler is out for the season with an ACL tear.
The other three ruled out are Will Richard (ankle), Seth Cury (sciatica) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness).
Porzingis will be with the Warriors on their three-game road trip that also includes games against the Thunder on Saturday and the Jazz on Monday. That is progress considering Porzingis has been away from the team often since the beginning of his five-game absence.
Gary Payton II, who missed Monday's game with an ankle injury, is questionable.
The Rockets also have key players on their injury report.
Alperen Sengun (illness), Amen Thompson (ankle) and Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) are listed as questionable. Jae'Sean Tate will miss his sixth consecutive game with a knee sprain.
Warriors' Lack of Wing Depth Is a Sight to Behold
Even when Moody was healthy, the Warriors were extremely thin at the wings. But he was at least holding it together. Without him, the Dubs are down to Gui Santos and two-way players.
Here is Golden State's projected depth chart against the Rockets:
PG: Brandin Podziemski, Pat Spencer
SG: De'Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II (questionable), LJ Cryer
SF: Gui Santos, Nate Williams
PF: Draymond Green, Malevy Leons
C: Al Horford, Quinten Post
Williams filled in admirably on Monday, finishing with 18 points. He'll get a lot more run in Houston guarding some guy named Kevin Durant.
The Warriors could look to fill their 15th standard contract roster spot with a wing, but the available options are pretty underwhelming. Still, it wouldn't hurt to give someone like Kevin Knox II a 10-day contract.
Warriors Looking Likely to Fall Below Eighth Place in West
The Warriors will enter Thursday's game 31-30. If the Clippers beat the Pacers on Wednesday, they will be 30-31.
The Warriors are likely to lose to the Rockets and the Thunder, so it's not wild to think the Clippers will have passed them by end of day Monday.
Even if that doesn't happen, it feels like a matter of time.
Stephen Curry is expected to miss at least the next four games. But I'm guessing he'll miss even more.
The Warriors are 4-7 without him in the last 11 games, and now they are more beat up than ever. Suffice to say, it'll be difficult to hold off the Clippers and Blazers (29-33) for long.
