WATCH: Draymond Green Shoves Donovan Mitchell, Gets Ejected

In this story:
After receiving his second technical foul of the game, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers for a shove on star guard Donovan Mitchell. When reviewing the play that resulted in Mitchell and Green getting into it, the officials saw Green shove Mitchell on the play prior, and deemed it worthy of a technical foul:

This was certainly an unusual ejection, as Green was assessed a technical for the play prior to what initially stopped play, but the officiating crew used that as their explanation for why he was given a second technical foul.
Green left the game with just 18 minutes played, and one and half quarters left to play. Always playing with emotion, Green is certainly prone to technical fouls and ejections, which showed itself in this game.
The Warriors and Cavaliers had gone back and forth quite a but up until this point in the game, with Golden State once trailing by as many as 17 points. Cutting the lead as the second half went on, the Warriors were down by 10 points when Green was ejected.
Without their defensive anchor for the remainder of the game, Golden State has looked to other options to step up and fill Green's spot in the rotation as he watches the reminder of this one from the locker room.
