WATCH: Draymond Green's Unexpected Reaction to Rudy Gobert's Comments

In this story:
Speaking with reporters for the first time since being suspended for choking Rudy Gobert, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green broke his silence on the situation. Acknowledging he needs to find ways to stay on the floor for his teammates, Green also would not say he regretted his actions, since he feels he was protecting Klay Thompson.
Also expressing frustration with how the NBA factored in his prior actions when deciding on a punishment for this offense, Green feels he should not have to pay for actions he already was disciplined for. There were a lot of quotes from Green about the situation, but the one thing he remained silent on was Gobert's comments about him. When asked about these comments, Green remained silent, then said his answer is no comment:

Not wanting to engage in any more back and forth, Green opted for this reaction to Gobert's comments - which was somewhat unexpected. The Warriors veteran has made several remarks about Gobert over the years, but felt this was not the time to respond to what was said about him.
This is probably the smartest move for Green, who would not have made anything better had he fired back at Gobert calling out his behavior. Looking to put this incident behind him, Green should have the opportunity to move forward once he returns from his five game suspension.
