Wizards vs Trailblazers Postgame Quotes From Coach Unseld Jr., Daniel Gafford & Tyus Jones

The Washington Wizards were able to pull out the win against the Blazers but it was way too close to comfort. "A win is a win" but hopefully the Wizards will build on this game and not give up their lead going into future games this season.

After the game Coach Wes Unseld Jr., Daniel Gafford and Tyus Jones spoke to the media. Below are a few notable quotes from the postgame conference.

Coach Wes Unseld Jr.

"A win's a win and we can still extract lessons... but those lessons are a little easier to stomach when you get a W."

"It was a handful of games prior [to the Pacers game] that you really started to see [Tyus Jones] settle in and take more reins and ownership of the group and organizing offense."

"[Daniel Gafford] was tremendous... he's making plays and blocking shots... I thought he did a really good job showing a level of physicality being a rim protector and of course, the offensive rebounds, put backs, finishes. You know those are bonus points."

Daniel Gafford

"We just have to finish quarters. That's the main thing."

"We had energy, they had energy, they got the crowd into it late and then we just kind of withstood that last punch that they threw so at the end of the day, we just came out and we handled business.

Tyus Jones

"I'm definitely feeling more confident. I'm feeling more comfortable. So just trying to take advantage of that"
