Jordan Poole Emotionally Reacts to Warriors Tribute Video
Jordan Poole spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors before he was traded to the Washington Wizards in the offseason. Poole’s transition to the Wizards has been up and down but all of that took a back seat when he returned to the Bay Area on Friday for a matchup between both teams.
Poole was reunited with his former teammates and even though the memory fans clamor to most was his dust up with Draymond Green, it was clear that the Warriors still have love for him.
The team showed respect for Poole with a tribute video before the game that replayed his time with the Warriors. It was evident Poole was affected as he looked up with a sly smile and did his best to hold back tears on the sideline.
“That was pretty special,” Poole said of the pregame video tribute. “It kind of shows my impact that I’ve had here, which is really cool. I really embraced myself with Dub Nation, submerged myself with them throughout my tenure here. It was pretty special to see that I got the love back.”
Klay Thompson who played alongside Poole addressed the video as well.
“It gave me chills watching that tribute video,” Warriors guard Klay Thompson said. “It just shows you how fast time really moves when you play pro ball. It was great to see the fan reception for Jordan. He deserved it.”
Hopefully Poole can peacefully put the past behind him knowing that the Warriors still see him as a critical part of their history.
