Wizards Helped Former Franchise Star Become Important Piece For Contender

The Wizards Elevated Bradley Beal Into A Playmaker

The journey of former Washington Wizard All Star Guard Bradley Beal is one like no other. In today’s NBA as well as society as a whole, being mobile and flexible is a priority. It is something that everyone wants to do and that everyone desires. The days of one staying at one job or company or in this reference, one team is highly uncommon.

Bradley Beal spent 11 long seasons with the Wizards where he had a taste of both winning and losing. The years have been great for him as he became a top ten player of all time for the franchise. The ball was in his hands the most these last two seasons and it helped to elevate his game to another level. His assist has been on the rise the last two seasons where he has averaged six assist per game.

Now that he has joined the Phoenix Suns, they had a log jam at the guard and wing position. Devin Booker and Bradley Beal are both shooting guards and Kevin Durant prefers to play the small forward position. Somebody has to have the ball and make most of the decisions at point guard. The Suns have decided to move and play Bradley Beal at their starting point guard position this upcoming season.

This will take a lot of pressure off of Beal and may even allow him to have his best season yet as he enters year 12 of his NBA Career. The Wizards have been grooming him all of these years for this very moment for Beal. He has had the ball in his hands a lot in Washington where he had to be a leader and make decisions on the floor for the team. It will be interesting how this transition in Bradley’s career will go for him in Phoenix as he plays along the game’s top players in Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
