The Washington Wizards are currently 2-0 in the preseason. Washington won their first preseason games 145-82 over the NBL’s Cairns Taipans. Kyle Kuzma (22 points) and Jordan Poole (18 points) lead the way for the Wizards in the win. In the Wizards' second game, Washington took on a familiar foe, the Charlotte Hornets. The Wizards defeated the Hornets 98-92. Kuzma’s 19 points coupled with 2023 first-round draft pick Bilal Coulibaly's 12 points, five rebounds, and four steals helped lead Washington to victory.

The last two Washington Wizards preseason games will be on the road. Wednesday, October 18th, the Wizards will head to New York to take on the New York Knicks. Two days later, they will head to Toronto to match up with the Raptors in their final tune-up before the regular season. The Wizards will hope to be at 100% by Wednesday before they take on the Knicks. Washington currently has five players on the injury list and five are all on currently Day-To-Day. Landry Shamet is the only player who is listed as day-to-day and is expected to be out for 2 to 4 weeks.
