The Washington Wizards are continuing to spotlight Black Owned Business in DC, Maryland and Virginia, not only for Black History Month but throughout the season.

For 4 consecutive years, the Washington Wizards are recognizing and showcasing local Black-owned businesses. In 2022, the Wizards spotlighted 6 businesses from November to April, on the team’s Black-Owned DMV page, the Wizards’ social channels, in-game activations through Wizards marketing assets, and on Monumental Sports Network. BreAnna Holmes obtained her bachelors degree in mass communications, graduating with honors from Winston-Salem State University. During her matriculation at WSSU she excelled in academics while remaining involved in various organizations.
