What Tough Decision Must Wizards Make?

In this story:
Sometimes in life, people don’t want to face reality. Things are sometimes hard to accept. Sometimes people tend not to like or embrace change. It could be to a lazy attitude and lack of motivation. It could also be because you simply don’t know what the outcome will be. You hope for the best, but you actually have to put in the work and make changes to be the best. Even the struggling Golden State Warriors aren’t afraid to embrace change.

This season is starting to get away from the Wizards. If it wasn’t for the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs, the state of the Wizards would feel a lot worse than what it really is. In all reality, this situation is getting worse by the day for the Wizards. With the losing continuing, what tough decision must the Wizards make?

It is time to bench Jordan Poole. Yes, it’s hard to do so. They traded to get him for a reason. There is no doubt trading 38 year old Chris Paul and acquiring 24 year old Jordan Poole was the right move to make. However, Poole simply isn’t playing well this season. He is struggling to shoot the ball this year shooting 40% from the field. That may not sound too bad. However, his shot selection is. His three point shooting percentage is down too at 29% for the year.

Additionally, he doesn’t defend on or off the ball well either. He is giving up a lot of points with his lack of size. This is a double whammy for the Wizards as Poole is giving up a lot of points and not scoring a lot of points either as he has been held under 20+ points in six of the last eight games. This is a tough decision to make. However, it is the right decision to make.
