Where Do The Wizards Go From Here?

In this story:
The time has finally arrived! The Washington Wizards have found the guy they have been searching for. His name is Michael Winger. Yes, the Wizards have named and signed former LA Clippers GM Michael Winger and have given him the role of being the President of Basketball Operations. That means all of the decisions that will be made for the Washington Wizards starts and ends with him.
Official: Michael Winger has been named the President of Monumental Basketball.

During his time in LA with the Clippers, Winger has been aggressive with his job. He has done his job quite well and some may even think he is one of the best General Managers in the league. While in LA, he was able to sign a two time finals MVP in Kawhi Leonard and even traded for a highly coveted all star in Paul George. The only difference is the Wizards are in a different position than the Clippers were in when that happened. That leads many to wonder what direction will the Wizards go in now that they have Michael Winger running the show?
Well, the good thing is not only does Winger have experience in building championship caliber rosters, but he also has experience in rebuilds as well. He was on the staff in Oklahoma City with the Thunder post Kevin Durant. So the Wizards have options. There is no question the Wizards have a lot of talent as it stands now. The only question is will everyone buy in? Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis both have player options at the moment. Expect for Winger to be aggressive and try to add even more talent to a team that is on the cusp of making the playoffs. The East is wide open more than ever at the moment and now may be the Wizards chance to surprise the league.
