Jared Allen (right) was not traded at the NFL trade deadline.

The NFL trade deadline has passed. We saw several impact players change locales (Trent Richardson, Eugene Monroe, Jon Beason) in advance of the deadline, but little action today.

One deal that went down: the Eagles traded Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick to the Patriots for a fifth-rounder. Sopoaga will fill the void left by the injured Vince Wilfork in New England's front seven.

Among the names rumored to be on the block today: Jared Allen, Josh Gordon, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Fred Davis and Jairus Byrd.'s Ian Rapoport explains why a deal for Allen ultimately didn't go down.

UPDATE: 3:50 p.m. ET

• Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports that the Jared Allen trade talks are dead. Allen is poised to be a free agent this spring.

UPDATE: 3:45 p.m. ET

• We have our first deal of the day: the Eagles have traded Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick to the Patriots for a fifth-rounder, the Eagles announced.

UPDATE: 3:20 p.m. ET

• The list of suitors for Jared Allen is rapidly declining. Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos aren't expected to make a move for Jared Allen or anyone else before the deadline. ESPN's Adam Schefter is also reporting that Denver is out.

• Two WRs who won't be moving: Hakeem Nicks and Josh Gordon, reports Adam Schefter.

Schefter also notes that the Niners are the "team to watch."

UPDATE: 2:50 p.m. ET

• We may have found one of the mystery teams pursuing Jared Allen: the Broncos.'s Gil Brandt is reporting that the Broncos are joining the Allen derby in advance of the 4 p.m. ET deadline. Brian McIntyre notes that the Broncos cap situation would require Allen to restructure his contract slightly to make a deal work.

UPDATE: 2:15 p.m. ET

• Fox Sports' Jay Glazer says contrary to previous reports, the Seahawks are not one of the two teams pursuing Jared Allen.

Adam Schefter is also reporting that the Seahawks are out on Allen, saying that Seattle has decided to not actively pursue him.

UPDATE: 1:35 p.m. ET

• The Seahawks are making a late push to trade for Jared Allen, reports Adam Schefter. Schefter's ESPN colleague, Chris Mortensen, says the Vikings are asking for a second-rounder but would settle for a conditional third.

USA Today Sports' Tom Pelissero says Allen wants out of Minnesota and is willing to do what it takes to land in a better situation.

Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News reports the 49ers are not among the teams interested in Allen.

UPDATE: 12:25 p.m. ET

• Fox Sports' Jay Glazer says a Jared Allen deal is unlikely because of his salary, but that doesn't mean the Vikings aren't listening to offers.

Mike Florio of is hearing from a source that Minnesota would likely receive just a fifth-round compensatory pick if Allen leaves in free agency this upcoming spring, not a third-rounder as many expected.'s Ian Rapoport maintains that the Vikings aren't shopping Allen, but could move Allen if a big offer arises.

• Two teams unlikely to make a deal: the Colts and Cowboys.

Indianapolis lost receiver Reggie Wayne to a torn ACL earlier this season, but aren't planning to add a wideout via trade. "We're standing pat," Colts coach Chuck Pagano told Indianapolis reporters.

Jerry Jones also said the Cowboys are unlikely to make a deal this afternoon.

• The Giants are keeping all their options open with Hakeem Nicks.

UPDATE: 11:15 a.m. ET

• Players who won't be traded today? Larry Fitzgerald, Tony Gonzalez and Jared Allen, says's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport says players who could be moved include: 49ers RB Anthony Dixon, Titans WR Kenny Britt and Eagles DE Vinny Curry.

• Browns coach Rob Chudzinski says the team has "no plans of trading any of our guys," per Receiver Josh Gordon has been the subject of several rumors since returning to the Browns after a two-game suspension at the start of the season."We’re not shopping them," Chudzinski said. "As far as any personnel rumors, speculations, those things, I’m really not going to get into.” It was reported yesterday that it would require at least a second-rounder to pry Gordon away from Cleveland.

• With rookie Jordan Reed emerging, the Redskins are "aggressively" trying to move TE Fred Davis, per Mike Florio of "If a deal can’t be worked out, there’s a chance Davis will be cut," Florio reports. Davis,  who tore an Achilles tendon last season, had 59 catches for 796 yards  and three touchdowns in 2011.

• Tony Gonzalez tells he isn't asking for a trade from the 2-5 Falcons. "This is the last [nine] weeks of my career. And right now, things are looking ... you never know," Gonzalez said. "But, like I said, I love my guys on this team too much to go ask for a trade."

• The Bills are open to dealing safety Jairus Byrd, but aren't shopping him, says's Ian Rapoport. The Bills reportedly want a young player, not a pick, in any deal for the franchise-tagged safety.
