Ben Roethlisberger was initially unhappy with Pittsburgh Steelers 2014 draft class

The Pittsburgh Steelers were believed to have been interested in adding a big-bodied wide receiver early in this year's draft to help quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when the team gets into the red zone.

However, the team passed on a several quality wide receiver prospects in favor of Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier.

The fan base reacted to the selection with mixed reviews, and it turns out that the team going defense with its first two picks initially did not sit well with Roethlisberger either.

“I got caught up in doing what I always say not to do, and that's listen to the media,” Roethlisberger said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “[The Steelers] obviously have their agenda, the things they want, and they got two guys that they felt can help this team”
