Quarterback T.J. Yates: Houston Texans watching Patriots film to mimic offense

First-year Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien built his reputation as an offensive guru during his time running that side of the ball with the New England Patriots. In three seasons with O'Brien calling the plays, the Patriots consistently ranked near the top of the league in offensive production.
He'll be trying to recreate the Foxboro vibe in Houston in his return to the NFL following two seasons as the head coach at Penn State. According to CSN Houston, the Texans have been studying what O'Brien did in New England in order to basically recreate that scheme.

“Obviously watch a lot of Patriots film and seeing how they do it,” quarterback T.J. Yates said. “We’re trying to mimic them right now.”
O'Brien himself then went on to explain that for the offensive scheme to work, tempo is the key.
“Our view of tempo has evolved, especially those of us who were in New England,” O’Brien said. “We were a huddle team in New England and we were always a huddle team in New England. But then the last few years I was there we incorporated more no huddle and different tempos of no huddle.”
