Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank: London could land NFL franchise

Despite the failures of NFL Europe, the league continues to press the issue of playing games across the Atlantic.

What started as a one-game event has now morphed into a three-game annual tradition, and rumors continue to swirl that the NFL is exploring the idea of placing a franchise abroad full-time.

For what it's worth, the league has been relatively hush-hush about such an idea, continually stating that logistically it would be incredibly difficult to put a team in Europe. But Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank believes not only could London eventually be awarded an NFL franchise, there could be multiple teams playing in the city, via theMMQB's Peter King.

"I think it will start with an increased number of games," he said. "That will be translated into a very successful series of games, and eventually, I think a franchise. And maybe more than one. London's a big city."
