In the midst of a messy stadium situation, a former Raider has come out a declared that Los Angeles would provide a better home for the team.

According to Pro Football Talk, Hall-of-Fame running back Marcus Allen said Friday on NBCSN that the Raiders belong in Los Angeles. Allen played for the team when it was in LA, and never when it was in Oakland.

Allen said he's talked with owners who told him there are viable stadium options in LA, though it wouldn't be the LA Coliseum, now home to USC.

A move to Southern California would help solve the Bay Area's quibbling over O.Co Coliseum. The A's want to stay there, but the Raiders want a new stadium.
