Buffalo Bills linebacker Brandon Spikes has been fined $8,268 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness after a late hit on wide receiver Santonio Holmes in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears.

Buffalo Bills linebacker Brandon Spikes has been fined $8,268 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness after a late hit on wide receiver Santonio Holmes in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears.
Spikes, 27, agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills after spending the first four seasons of his career with the New England Patriots. The Florida product has amassed 176 tackles over 52 games.
The Bills host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
