The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed defensive end Adrian Clayborn on injured reserve with a torn biceps, ending his season, the team announced.
The team re-signed defensive end Scott Solomon to fill Clayborn's roster spot.
Clayborn was a first-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He recorded 7.5 sacks in his rookie season. In his second season, he went down with a knee injury, missing 13 games. He started all 16 games last season, recording 64 total tackles and 5.5 sacks.
