San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis left his team's game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday night with ankle injury and was seen on crutches in the locker room, Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reports.
The severity of the injury is not known, and Davis' status for next Sunday' game against the Cardinals in uncertain.
Davis injured his left ankle in the fourth quarter after his foot was caught underneath Bears linebacker Jonathan Bostic. The tight end did not return to the game.
In two games this season, Davis has caught seven passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
