Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater says the advantage to getting his first NFL start in Week 4 as opposed to Week 1 is that he knows "what to expect."
Bridgewater entered Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints after previous starter Matt Cassel suffered an injury in the second quarter. Bridgewater completed 12 of his 20 pass attempts for 150 yards.
Cassel was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday morning with broken bones in his left foot.
The Vikings selected Bridgewater, 21, with the No. 32 pick in the first round of this year's draft. Over three seasons at Louisville, Bridgewater completed 68.4 percent of his passes for 9,817 yards and 72 touchdowns.
Minnesota hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
