Bears sign LB Darryl Sharpton, cut FB Tony Fiammetta

The Chicago Bears have signed linebacker Darryl Sharpton, the team announced on Thursday.

Demaryius Thomas' slow start with Denver Broncos not contract related

Sharpton, 26, recorded 55 tackles over eight starts with the Houston Texans last season.

Sharpton was with the Washington Redskins in training camp, but the team placed him on injured reserve after he suffered a high ankle sprain and cut him earlier this week.

The Bears also announced that they have terminated the contract of fullback Tony Fiammetta, who had been battling a hamstring injury.
