Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams tweeted a picture Wednesday with a pink cast on his right leg.

The team’s current injury report does not list a status for Williams, but coach Ron Rivera said he is doubtful to play this week against the Chicago Bears because of a sprained ankle.

Williams was injured in the first half of Carolina's 38-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The Panthers (2-2) are already without running backs Jonathan Stewart, because of a sprained knee and Mike Tolbert, who is on the short-term IR list because of a hairline fracture in his left leg.

Fozzy Whittaker is the next running back on the Panthers' depth chart. Stewart practiced in Wednesday's practice but Whittaker did not, according to the team
