Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green’s status is in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Green aggravated a big toe injury in warmups and was carted off the practice field on Wednesday. He was scheduled to undergo an MRI and see a doctor on Thursday. He originally injured the toe in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Green has 17 catches for 314 yards and two touchdowns this season for Cincinnati (3-1). The team's website suggests that Green could miss multiple games with the injury. In the next three weeks after the Carolina game, Cincinnati has a road contest against the Indianapolis Colts and home games against the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars.

"He doesn’t want to be shut down, he wants to play. We’ll see as the week goes on and we’ll go from there," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said to SiriusXM NFL Radio.

The Bengals are already without receiver Marvin Jones, who hasn’t played this season because of an ankle injury and tight end Tyler Eifert, who has a dislocated elbow and was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return. He won’t be available until the team’s 10th game.

Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson did not seemed to concerned with having his top threats for the game.

“I let you guys worry about that,”Jackson said, according to the team’s website. “I’m not worried about that. I can’t. At the end of the day I can just coach the players I can coach. Never out of weapons. We’ll put somebody else up in there and let’s go.”
