San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis will play on Monday Night Football against the St. Louis Rams according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle

Davis injured his back in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles after taking a hit from DeMeco Ryans. The injury kept Davis out of the team's Week 5 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After returning to practice late last week, Davis told reporters Saturday, “I don’t feel like I’m where I need to be at the moment, but I’m getting there.”
