Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green sustained a right arm injury in Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos.

The injury occurred in the first quarter. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton targeted Green on a pass but was high on the throw, leaving Green to take a hit directly on his arm from Broncos safety T.J. Ward.

Denver cornerback Aqib Talib intercepted the ball on the play and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown to give the Broncos a 7-0 lead.

Green was listed by the Bengals as probable to return and did eventually come back onto the field with a wrap on his arm. But he was clearly limited and in pain, and Green had to again leave the game on multiple occasions.

Through three quarters, Green was targeted just three times and didn't have a catch.

Green also dealt with a toe injury earlier this season that forced him to miss three games and leave another game after the Bengals' first series.

Green entered Monday's game with 61 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns.
