Vikings assistant general manager George Paton will reportedly stay in Minnesota and has turned down interview offers with the Chicago Bears and New York Jets.
This season was Paton's eighth with the Vikings. Earlier in 2014, he turned down the opportunity to interview with the St. Louis Rams regarding their GM job.
Paton has been a hot commodity and is getting hotter. Played a big role in restocking Vikings roster, is well respected in league circles.— Dan Pompei (@danpompei) December 31, 2014
The Jets fired GM John Idzik on Monday, while the Bears fired GM Phil Emery the same day.
