Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith said in an Instagram post on Saturday that he will return next season.

Smith will turn 36 in May. The Ravens lost to the New England Patriots in Saturday's AFC Divisional Playoff game, shortly before Smith's post.

After signing a three-year deal with the team in March, Smith led the Ravens in receptions (79) and receiving yards (1,065), the latter being the most in a single season by a player 35 or older since Rod Smith had 1,105 yards in 2005.

Smith caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown vs. the Patriots, becoming the 13th player in NFL history with 1,000 career postseason receiving yards.

Before signing with the Ravens, Smith spent the first 13 years of his career with the Carolina Panthers, who selected him in the third round of the 2001 draft out of Utah.

For his career, Smith has 915 receptions for 13,262 yards and 73 touchdowns.
