Aaron Rodgers: Packers were better team in NFC title game

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Green Bay was "the better team" in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Green Bay was "the better team" in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee.

The Seahawks rallied from a 16-0 halftime deficit to win 28-22 in overtime. The Packers led 19-7 with less than three minutes remaining, but Seattle scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in 45 seconds to take the lead.

Green Bay forced overtime with a 48-yard field goal, but a 35-yard touchdown pass by Russell Wilson won the game for the Seahawks.

"We were the better team today and we played well enough to win and we can’t blame anybody but ourselves," Rodgers said after the game.

Rodgers and Wilson combined for six interceptions in the game, four of which were thrown by Wilson. Seattle had five turnovers overall but outgained the Packers 397-to-306.

For the game, Rodgers completed 19 of 34 passes for 178 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The quarterback has been playing with a lingering calf injury throughout the playoffs.
