Despite the Seattle Seahawks originally opening as 2.5-point Super Bowl XLIX favorites, the spread for the game quickly turned into a pick 'em, according to Vegas Insider.

The Seahawks, who defeated the Green Bay Packers on Sunday to win the NFC, will take on the AFC champion New England Patriots on Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.

If the line were to hold, it would be the first time in Super Bowl history that the game does not a favorite, according to USA Today.

Last year, the Seahawks were 2.5-point underdogs going into Super Bowl XLIX against the Denver Broncos. Seattle ended up winning the game by 35 points, and the underdog has won four of the last five Super Bowls and is 10-3 against the spread since 2002. Historically, the favorite for the game is 33-15.

The Seahawks and the Patriots were the favorites win the Super Bowl at the beginning of the playoffs. When the season began, Seattle was given 6-1 odds to win it all and New England was given 8-1 odds.
