Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Shermantold reporters at Super Bowl Media Day that he feels all of the NFL's personnel, including commissioner Roger Goodell, "should be obligated to speak weekly."

Sherman was asked about teammate Marshawn Lynch, who moments before answered "I'm here so I won't get fined" to five minutes of media questions.

"I don't think a player should be obligated to talk to the media as much as the commissioner is to do it," Sherman said.

FARRAR: Goodell's history gives Sherman's claims weight

Lynch was fined $100,000 for not complying with the league's media policy earlier in the season and has since has given very limited interviews, often repeating the same phrase. Last week, Sherman said he was going to give Lynch advice heading into Media Day.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that the NFL said it would fine Lynch $500,000 if he failed to make himself available at Media Day.
