Conflicting reports surface regarding Marshawn Lynch deal with Seahawks
Conflicting reports surfaced Saturday night regarding running back Marshawn Lynch's contract status with the Seattle Seahawks.
Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com first reported that Lynch "has a new deal in place" with the Seahawks worth $12 million in the first year and $9 million in the second, and that it would be formalized "in coming days." Those numbers are also similar to a Yahoo Sports report earlier on Saturday.
However, Lynch's agent, Doug Hendrickson, sent out the following tweet shortly after La Canfora's report:

Lynch is expected to make $7 million in 2015, which would be his ninth year in the NFL. He will turn 29 in April, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Friday at the NFL scouting combine that Seattle is making some "big" offers to Lynch. The mercurial running back, however, has reportedly considered retirement and Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Thursday that he has "no idea" if Lynch will play next season.
Lynch has spent the last five years with the Seahawks after he was traded by the Buffalo Bills in October 2010. In 2014, he rushed 280 times for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Seahawks, who reached their second consecutive Super Bowl. Lynch also had his most productive receiving season since 2008, catching 37 passes for 367 yards and four touchdowns.

Lynch was fined multiple times during the season for refusing to speak with reporters and for making inappropriate gestures during games, but has taken at least 280 carries in each of his full four seasons in Seattle.
