PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Philadelphia Eagles have released offensive lineman Todd Herremans.

The 32-year-old Herremans started 132 games while playing his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia. The move announced Friday saves the Eagles $2.8 million under the 2015 salary cap.

Coach Chip Kelly says Herremans was the ''ultimate professional'' and praised his toughness. Herremans tried to play through a torn biceps last year but had surgery and missed the last eight games.

The Eagles could replace him at right guard with Allen Barbre, Dennis Kelly, Andrew Gardner, Matt Tobin or another player not currently on the roster.
