The Giants also announced Wednesday that they re-signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya and waived tackle Rogers Gaines and cornerback Travis Howard. Both were on injured reserve last season.

Herzlich started eight of 15 games last season and had a career-high 47 tackles. He also had four special teams tackles.

Hynoski started four of 16 games at fullback. His role was mainly as a blocker, carrying seven times for 13 yards. He has played in 46 regular-season games with 21 starts and in four postseason games with three starts.

Both were signed as free agents in 2011 were part the Giants' Super Bowl championship team.

Ogbonnaya joined the team late last season and played on special teams in the final two games.
