The New Orleans Saints signed former Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner, the team announced Thursday.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the deal is for three years and worth around $18 million.

Browner, 30, recorded 25 combined tackles in nine regular-season games for Super Bowl champion New England last season. He spent the three previous seasons with Seattle, where he made the Pro Bowl in 2011 and was suspended on two separate occasions, in 2012 and 2013, for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. He sat out Seattle's 2013 Super Bowl win as a result of his suspension.

In four seasons, Browner has recorded 142 combined tackles and 11 interceptions. He also drew interest from Washington, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
