The Houston Texans re-signed linebacker Akeem Dent, the team announced Tuesday. Terms of Dent's contract were not disclosed, but his agency said the deal is for two years.

Over three seasons with the Falcons, Dent started 20 games and recorded 108 tackles. Atlanta drafted him out of Georgia in the third round of the 2011 draft.

Dent is the fifth player the Texans have re-signed this season, joining quarterback Ryan Mallett, tackle Derek Newton, linebacker Jeff Tarpinian and cornerback Kareem Jackson.
