Several Minnesota Vikings players, including quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, believe troubled running back Adrian Peterson will be back with the team this season, according to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press.

"We expect Adrian to be here," Bridgewater told the Pioneer-Press. "The guys in the locker room, we all love Adrian."

The Vikings are currently participating in voluntary workouts, though Peterson is not with the team. Peterson missed nearly all of last season after being placed on the commissioner's exempt list after being indicted for child abuse and then suspended following his plea agreement.

Peterson's agent said last month he thought it would be best for his client to play elsewhere. Peterson reportedly feels like there has been a lack of support for him within the organization.

"I talked to (Peterson) a little while ago and kind of shared some thoughts with him," linebacker Chad Greenway told the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. "I think everyone is in support of him and trying to come back and try to be a part of this group."
