Son of Broncos owner arrested on domestic violence charge
Thursday June 4th, 2015

John Bowlen Jr., the son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, was arrested on domestic violence harassment charges, Denver's 9News reports.

He is being held on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment, two misdemeanors, according to The Denver Post.

Bowlen Jr., who works for the Broncos, was one of seven Bowlen children under consideration to take over ownership after Pat Bowlen stepped down in July after revealing he has Alzheimer's.

Bowlen Jr. was held overnight at Arapahoe County jail. His first court appearance was scheduled for 2 p.m. MT on Thursday.

The Broncos announced Bowlen has been placed on indefinite leave following the arrest, according to Lindsay Jones of USA Today.
