Ohio State's Roger Terry to become Redskins scouting assistant

Ohio State recruiting assistant Roger Terry is joining the Washington Redskins as a scouting assistant, according to a league source.

Ohio State recruiting assistant Roger Terry is joining the Washington Redskins as a scouting assistant, according to a league source.

Terry, 28, spent the past two seasons with the defending national champion Buckeyes, working under highly regarded director of player personnel Mark Pantoni. Terry helped Ohio State to two consensus top-five recruiting classes.

Last summer, Terry was a scouting intern for the Atlanta Falcons. He was also an intern at Kentucky in 2012 and a defensive graduate assistant at Tennessee State in ’11.

He played linebacker at Memphis from 2007-09. Terry joins a Redskins team that had a 4-12 record last season under first-year coach Jay Gruden.
