Oakland Raiders wide receiver Andre Holmes fractured his hand in practice Sunday and is expected to miss three to four weeks, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday.
Bill Williamson of ESPN also reports that Holmes could be ready to play in Oakland's season opener Sept. 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Holmes, 27, was one of Derek Carr's favorite targets last season, as he caught 47 passes for four touchdowns and led the Raiders with 693 receiving yards in 2014.
Despite Holmes' injury, the Raiders still have depth at the wideout position after selecting Amari Cooper in the 2015 draft and signingMichael Crabtree in free agency this April.

Holmes was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Division II Hillsdale College in 2011.
