Bears waive Jordan Mills

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears have waived right tackle Jordan Mills.

A fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech in 2013, Mills started all 29 games he played in over two seasons.

Letting Mills go could open the door for Kyle Long to move from right guard to right tackle.

The Bears also claimed safety Harold Jones-Quartey and offensive lineman Patrick Omameh off waivers while terminating the contract of veteran safety Sherrod Martin on Sunday.

Jones-Quartey was waived by the Cardinals after signing with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Division II Findlay. Omameh was waived by Tampa Bay after starting all 16 games at right guard for the Buccaneers in 2014.
