After breaking a bone in his right foot during Sunday night’s game against the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant said his surgery on Monday went great.

“I will keep the [...] Dallas Cowboys fans updated so don't listen to all the craziness.... Surgery went great..... I can't wait to get back,” Bryant tweeted Monday night.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Sunday that Bryant is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury. Head coach Jason Garrett said Bryant's recovery timetable is fluid.

Bryant was in the locker room during Dallas' last-minute, game-winning drive that gave the Cowboys a 27–26 win over the Giants on Sunday night. Tony Romo found Jason Witten for an 11-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left, and Dan Bailey converted the extra point to give the Cowboys the lead.

Bryant greeted his teammates near the locker room after they came off the field.

After spending much of the off-season angling for a new contract, Bryant signed a five-year, $70 million extension in July. He has not missed a game since 2012.

Bryant was a Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selection last season after catching 88 passes for 1,320 yards and a league-high 16 touchdowns.
