Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning reached the 70,000 career passing yards mark in the third quarter of Thursday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 39-year-old passed the 70,000 yard barrier on a 10-yard pass to receiver Emmanuel Sanders with a little under nine minutes left in the third. He is now only the second quarterback in NFL history to reach 70,000 yards, along with Brett Favre, who threw for 71,838 yards in his 16-year career.

The only other quarterback to even reach 60,000 career passing yards is Hall of Famer Dan Marino, who threw for 61,361.

Manning came into the game needing only 134 yards to reach 70,000.
