Despite multiple reports that Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant could miss the majority of the season with a broken foot, the team still believes he will be able to return after the Week 6 bye.

“We really feel like it's a very fair goal to think that Dez will be back after the bye,” Cowboys VP Stephen Jones told a Dallas radio station, according to the Dallas Morning News

Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones initially said that the team expected Bryant would only be out for four to six weeks. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported last week that Bryant could be out as long as 10 to 12 weeks after having bone graft surgery.

ESPN medical expert Dr. Mark Adickes said days after Bryant was injured that expecting him to return in four or six weeks was “aggressive” and that an eight- to 12-week absence was more realistic.
