Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey will undergo another ankle surgery, reports NFL Network’s Rand Getlin.

According to the report, Pouncey, who was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return, is experiencing complications while recovering from ankle surgery in August.

Pouncey, a two-time First-Team All-Pro selection, sustained a broken fibula in a preseason game against Green Bay, when Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix fell into his leg.

The five-year NFL veteran is not eligible to play until Week 9, which he originally targeted as his intended return date, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Pouncey was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2010 draft, and in his five years with the team, he’s been named to the Pro Bowl four times.

The Steelers (3–2) host the Arizona Cardinals (4–1) on Sunday at Heinz Field.
