Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders sprained his AC joint (shoulder) at the end of the team’s 26–23 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Sanders sustained the injury while diving for a Peyton Manning pass late in the fourth quarter. After failing to make the catch, Sanders could be seen jogging into the end zone before falling to the ground in pain.
Sanders is tied for the team-high in receiving yards (527) with wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. Sanders finished the 2014 season with 101 receptions for 1404 yards and nine touchdowns.
Second-year player Cody Latimer is listed behind Sanders on the Broncos’ depth chart.
