New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski scored his 60th career touchdown in Sunday’s game against the Colts, becoming the fastest tight end to 60 touchdowns in NFL history.

Gronkowski, in his sixth pro season, needed just 70 games to accomplish the feat. He has 59 receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, a two-yard carry in 2011.

Gronkowski has the second-most touchdowns in Patriots history, trailing only Stanley Morgan’s 70 receiving and return scores.

The record-breaking catch came on a play-action pass in the third quarter. Tom Brady found Gronkowski in the middle of the field and he rumbled 15 yards after the catch for the score.

The Colts defense held Gronkowski without a catch in the first half but he caught two passes for 35 yards on the first series of the second half, including the touchdown.
