Blaine Gabbert led the 49ers to a victory over the Falcons on Sunday but head coach Jim Tomsula would not commit to him as his starting quarterback for San Francisco’s next game against the Seahawks on Nov. 22.

Speaking with reporters Sunday afternoon, Tomsula declined to say whether Gabbert or Colin Kaepernick would get the nod after the team’s bye week.

Gabbert, making his first start since October 2013, completed 15 of 25 passes for 185 with two touchdowns and two interceptions in San Francisco’s 17–16 win over Atlanta.

Tomsula made the decision last week to go with Gabbert, a former first-round pick who was signed as Kaepernick’s backup last season after three disappointing seasons with the Jaguars. Kaepernick led the Niners to a 2–6 record in the first half of the season, completing 59.3% of his passes for a career-low 6.6 yards per attempt.
