NFL Week 10 injury roundup: QBs Landry Jones, Sam Bradford hurt

Among the notable NFL players injured in Week 10 are Landry Jones and DeSean Jackson.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was forced into action on Sunday when Landry Jones went down with a left foot injury. Roethlisberger injured his foot last week and was serving as Jones’s backup with Mike Vick (hamstring) inactive.

He went on to complete 22 of 33 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns in a 30–9 win over Cleveland, with an interception.

Sam Bradford | QB, Eagles

Concussion, did not return

Mark Sanchez entered at quarterback after Bradford was driven to the ground for a sack in the third quarter. X-rays were negative on his injured left shoulder, but according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, he sprained his AC joint.

Julian Edelman | WR, Patriots

Left foot, did not return

Edelman slammed his helmet down in frustration after leaving in the first half. He had four catches for 53 yards.

Ryan Mathews | RB, Eagles

Concussion, did not return

Mathews left in the fourth quarter with eight carries for 18 yards and touchdown.

Justin Hunter | WR, Titans

Aankle, did not return

He needed to be carted off the field. According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, it’s a fractured right ankle.

Alfred Morris | RB, Redskins

Rib, returned

He had nine carries for 38 yards, and three catches for 14, before leaving.

DeSean Jackson | WR, Redskins

Head/Neck, returned

Jackson was taken off the field for evaluation in the first half after his head hit the leg of a Saints defender on a tackle. He later re-entered. 

Keenan Lewis | CB, Saints

MCL, did not return

He was seen jogging with trainers on the sideline in a knee brace after leaving with the injury. The injury is to his MCL, and the degree of severity is unknown.

Bernard Pierce | RB, Jaguars

Achilles, did not return

The injury occurred during pre-game warmups, according to the Jaguars.

Weston Richburg | C, Giants

Ankle, did not return

Richburg, the Giants’ starting center, left the game with an ankle injury and was replaced by Dallas Reynolds.
