Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins made an acrobatic catch for a touchdown from backup quarterback T.J. Yates against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

With 14:27 left in regulation, Hopkins made a one-handed catch with his left hand on a pass from Yates to give the Texans a 10–6 lead over the undefeated Bengals.

Houston starter Brian Hoyer left the game in the third quarter to be evaluated for a possible concussion. Hoyer was replaced by Yates, who threw the go-ahead score to Hopkins on his first series.

Hoyer’s former backup Ryan Mallett was released by the team after he missed a charter flight for a road game in October.

Before his touchdown pass to Hopkins on Monday, Yates’ last pass for a score came in 2011 in the AFC wild card playoff game against the Bengals.
